HAIKY BORNEO SDN BHD

When the company ceased operation in Myanmar during August, 1997, they bought over Brintrade Hai Kee Enterprise Sdn Bhd, which is now called Haiky Borneo Sdn Bhd. HBSB primarily engages in seafood procuring and processing in Sandakan.

Three years later, in 2000, HBSB extended its sourcing and processing plant to Tawau. The subsequent years were spent focusing on building up the marketing network for its seafood products — prawns, cuttlefish, squids, crabs and fishes — from East Malaysia. The target market was Klang Valley and few other neighbouring states, with a relatively small portion exported to countries such as Japan, China, and Australia.
Located at Lot 135 & 136, Sedco Industrial Estate, Phase 11A, Mile 3, Jalan Utara, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah, East Malaysia, HBSB is responsible for forwarding fresh raw materials to two other factories located in Kepong (HKHSB & HMSB) and Selayang, KL (HKHFSB) for further processing. Low grade fish will be sent to HSISB to be processed into surimi and surimi based products, and then distributed to clients. Frozen products on the other hand, will be exported directly to clients or via Hai Kee Hung Shanghai by sea.
